About This Coffee

This exceptional lot comes from award-winning producer Niguse Gemeda Mude, who claimed first place in Ethiopia's inaugural 2020 Cup of Excellence competition with an impressive score of 91.40. Working alongside his wife, Niguse supports a family of seven children while managing a diverse agricultural operation. 

Niguse cultivates coffee on 3 hectares of land, while maintaining an additional 10 hectares dedicated to various crops including vegetables, wheat, teff, barley, and bamboo. The farm produces approximately 15,000 kg of cherry annually, which is carefully processed on African beds using the natural drying method.

This coffee showcases a unique and complex flavor profile, opening with distinct purple grape notes, transitioning to sweet tropical mango, and finishing with a distinctive orange soda-like effervescence.
